World of Warcraft: Forever Beta Ends With One-Day Farewell Event

Posted on by

Blizzard is closing out the World of Warcraft: Forever beta with a 24-hour farewell event running until 10:00 a.m. PDT on Friday, October 23. The sendoff is taking place in several early-game zones, including Zephras Isle, Dun Morogh, Elwynn Forest, Teldrassil, Durotar, Tirisfal Glades, and Mulgore.

Community manager Kaivax said the event is meant as a last bit of “shenanigans and upheaval” before the beta ends, and warned that some items and experiences appearing during the celebration won’t be part of the game when it launches on November 4.

Blizzard president Johanna Faries also shared the event on X as the “Beta Farewell Tour,” teasing appearances from Azuregos, Lord Kazzak, and others. The official World of Warcraft account has been reposting player clips from the event, including a “Super Hogger” and a giant Stitches showing up in Goldshire.

Players on the official forums are also reporting temporary “Endless Elixirs” during the farewell, so if you’ve still got beta access, this is the last window to log in and see the chaos before the test shuts down.

World of Warcraft: Forever launches November 4. Early Name Reservation is scheduled to begin Tuesday, October 27.
