Wizard101 Brings Its First 8-Player Raid to Consoles
Wizard101 console players can now take on The Ghastly Conspiracy, the MMO’s first 8-player raid, after its earlier release on PC. The update is live for the console version and also brings over the Magic Weaving content, along with new spellments and bug fixes.
The Ghastly Conspiracy is built for level 170 wizards and sends groups into Heap, a dark, noir-styled area with new enemies and raid mechanics. KingsIsle is positioning it as a teamwork-heavy challenge, so this isn’t likely to be something players casually brute force on day one.
Magic Weaving is also catching up on consoles. Players can now reach rank 4 and earn rewards tied to the school they’ve chosen to weave into. Storm and Life players get new utility spells, Fire, Myth, and Death get a new pet and jewels, while Balance and Ice get new Fusion formulae.
The update also includes additional spellments and fixes, though KingsIsle hasn’t framed those as the main draw here. The bigger point is that console players are getting another chunk of Wizard101’s recent PC content, including the game’s first proper 8-person raid.
Wizard101 launched on Xbox and PlayStation last year, then later came to Nintendo Switch. KingsIsle previously said the console versions passed one million downloads across platforms.
