Warframe’s Shadowgrapher update is live, and Digital Extremes is already planning fixes for Follie’s Hunt

Warframe’s first update of the year, The Shadowgrapher, is now live on all platforms, including the recently released Switch 2 version. The update adds Follie’s Hunt, a new activity tied to unlocking the game’s 64th Warframe, along with new weapons, TennoGen items, and a batch of quality-of-life changes.

According to the official post, Follie’s Hunt has players exploring the Vesper Relay, dealing with ink-like enemies, and working toward completing a painting tied to the new Warframe. But the mode’s rollout has been rough. Players have been criticizing its dark map, hard-to-read navigation, limited gunplay, and vague objectives.

Digital Extremes has already said changes are on the way. In a forum post, the studio said upcoming patches will improve visibility with lighting tweaks, add better waypoints, make Follie retreat temporarily after taking enough damage, reduce her damage aura, and make Atramentum currency pickups shared across the squad.

There’s no date for those fixes yet, only that they’re planned for future patches. So for now, anyone trying to unlock the new Warframe will still need to work through the current version of Follie’s Hunt.

Even with the complaints around the new mode, The Shadowgrapher still brings the usual update extras outside of the headline feature. If you’re not jumping in for the new frame, there are still some new items and general improvements waiting in the patch.
