Warframe’s delayed six-player mode The Icebind launches October 7
Warframe’s next October slate is built around two notable additions: The Icebind, a delayed six-player mode arriving October 7, and Epoch Operation: Taubound, a limited-time event running October 15 through November 17.
The Icebind was originally planned to launch with Iceblade of Narin under the name Glacial Defiance, but Digital Extremes held it back for more development time. The renamed mode will offer high-level missions for up to six players, with rewards available from up to three runs per week.
Epoch Operation: Taubound is the bigger story beat. Players who have completed Vor’s Prize will be able to access Eris during the event, with normal Star Chart and Junction requirements lifted for participation. Completing missions on Eris will earn Moonflesh, which can be traded to Praghasa for event-exclusive rewards.
Digital Extremes says the operation will not be rerun. Its rewards and Praghasa’s event dialogue will disappear after November 17, so anyone who cares about the story setup for Tau will want to log in during the event window.
A separate Tau Prologue Quest also arrives in the Codex on October 15. Unlike the operation, that quest is permanent and can be completed later, though it requires The Hex and The Old Peace first. It’s tied into the same narrative road to Tau, but not the limited-time Moonflesh rewards.
October also brings back Nights of Naberus from October 1 to November 2, with Daughter offering seasonal cosmetics for Mother Tokens and the Hallowed Nightmares Tactical Alert returning. Warframe’s Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation Quest also runs through October with community streams, donation incentives, and Conquera cosmetics.
