Warframe Adds Amir’s Shockwave Nightwave Mix and a Permanent 1999 Text Adventure

Digital Extremes has launched Nightwave Mix: Amir’s Shockwave in Warframe, available now for free on all platforms as of August 12, 2026. The new limited-time Nightwave track is themed around Amir from The Hex and Warframe: 1999, with new voice work from Kevin Afghani and a fresh batch of earnable cosmetics.

As usual for Nightwave, players progress by completing daily, weekly, and permanent weekly objectives, then claim rewards from the track through the Orbiter’s Navigation console or radio scanner. Amir’s Shockwave includes items like the Kaneshell Atomicycle Regalia Operator and Drifter outfit, the Globakk Syandana backpiece, and other time-limited rewards that will rotate out when the next Nightwave begins.

The update also adds Fables & Frontiers: Running Late, a tabletop RPG-inspired text adventure tied to The Hex. It’s not just a temporary event feature, either. Digital Extremes says Running Late will stay in Warframe after Amir’s Shockwave ends.

There are a few requirements before players can access it. You’ll need to finish The Hex Quest, reach Rank 5 with The Hex Syndicate, and have a “Close” relationship level with Amir. After that, the adventure can be started from the POM-2 terminal in the Orbiter. It plays out over six days and sends players through a dice-and-dialogue story run by Amir as “Fablemaster.”

The Höllvania Mall hub has also been expanded with Amir’s new game room, The Dominion of Höllvandeim, where players can summon him and browse new and returning cosmetic rewards.

On the cosmetics side, the Warframe Market now has the Shaoshi Collection for Baruuk, including the Baruuk Shaoshi skin. Six new TennoGen items from community creators are also live, covering skins, helmets, masks, and Signa cosmetics. Digital Extremes has also released three new music tracks, including On-lyne’s “Running Late,” across major streaming platforms.
