Pirate101’s The Trail Goes Cold Update Sends Players to Polaris

Pirate101’s latest content update, The Trail Goes Cold, is live now on Windows PC. The update continues the MMO’s main story with the first part of a new Polaris storyline, sending players into the frozen world as the Race to El Dorado picks back up.

The trip starts with One-Eyed Jack in Flotsam before players set sail for Polaris, a world tied heavily to the Spiral’s pirate history. Once there, players can visit the capital city, check out its tavern and vendors, fight new enemies, chase new rewards, and head into the wilderness, where an abominable beast is apparently waiting somewhere in the snow.

The update also adds Oleg, a new Privateer storyline companion described as a “True Revolutionary.” He joins the player’s crew as the Polaris story unfolds.

KingsIsle says The Trail Goes Cold also brings back several Pirate101 systems and locations, including Stormgate travel, ship docking, the Team Up Kiosk, the Transportaler, and the Midnight Moon Taverne and Cellar. Players will also run into ambient NPCs, Group Plunder Chests, and unique battleboard props as part of the update.
