WARDOGS Season 2 hits Early Access with new guns, vehicles, rain, and team-kill voting
WARDOGS gets its Season 2 update on October 15, bringing new weapons, vehicles, buildables, rain weather, and several match flow changes to Bulkhead’s 100-player, three-team shooter on Steam Early Access.
The update is scheduled to arrive after maintenance from 08:00 to 09:30 UTC, with around 90 minutes of downtime expected before the new season goes live. Bulkhead posted the Season 2 patch notes on October 14.
- Four weapons are being added: the TCX-SPR assault rifle, PP-19 Bizon SMG, Evo-3 Ultra LMG, and M14 marksman rifle.
- New vehicles include the Wolf-110 light transport, an armed Wolf-110 with an M2 Browning, the T-72B3 main battle tank, and the Flakpanzer Gepard anti-air vehicle.
- Rain is now a full weather preset, with wet surfaces, different rain audio depending on cover, thunder that can mask footsteps, reduced spotting range, and weaker Molotov fire.
- Molotovs are being added as thrown incendiaries, with fire that can damage players over time and burn destructible foliage.
- Three buildables are coming in: an MG Nest, a Large Shelter, and a Wooden Step.
- Team switching is getting stricter when one team is more than 10 points ahead, including a 15-minute lockout after joining a team and limits on map visibility and spawn vehicle use until reaching the control zone.
- A new punish-or-forgive system lets victims decide how to handle team kills, with punish votes leading to kicks and escalating bans for repeat offenders.
Season 2 also adds Gold Market camos across several weapon and vehicle families, while the Black and Gold AK camo has been removed from the shop. A Wager Vendor is planned for later in the season, but it won’t be available at launch. When it does arrive, players will be able to bet in-game cash on their own performance, with a live tracker shown above the minimap.
There are some smaller quality-of-life changes too, including squad intent options for squad leaders, queued timed prompts, a cleaner “rebuy last loadout” flow, and rewards for players who help seed empty servers before a match starts.
