Vindictus December Update Will Split Gold, Rework Tradability, and Add Garvan

Vindictus is getting a fairly chunky December update, with the team previewing a new Space Time Distortion boss, a major Gold system change, and a cleanup pass for item tradability. There’s no exact release date in the preview, and the English names may still change before the patch lands.

The new fight is the fifth Space Time Distortion, Forsaken Isle of the War God, starring Garvan, War God of the Void. He’s described as a weaponless martial artist, and the encounter is being framed around direct attack patterns rather than heavy environmental gimmicks or long cinematic mechanics.

  • Garvan will drop materials tied to a new Insignia accessory slot.
  • The War God’s Insignia can be upgraded through Magic Power Infusion, with exclusive prefix and suffix enchants.
  • New suffix enchants for Insignias can reduce Artifact cooldowns by 10 or 20 seconds, depending on rank.
  • Complete Rhod Compasses and Complete Artifacts can be advanced to a new Transcendent grade using materials from the fifth Space Time Distortion.
  • Forsaken Isle of the War God shares the normal Space Time Distortion weekly departure limit of two runs.

The Gold overhaul is the bigger account-wide change. Gold will be split into Normal Gold and Bound Gold. Normal Gold works like current Gold and can be traded or used on the Marketplace. Bound Gold can’t be traded, but it can be used for character growth systems like enhancement, tuning, advancement, repairs, NPC shops, and crafting.

Normal Gold will also become account-wide, so players won’t need to shuffle it between characters. As part of that merge, Marketplace and Gold Trading Post listings will be canceled when the update goes live, letting players relist under the new economy. Bound Gold earned in battle, along with some seals, will be transferable between two characters that share equipment.

Item tradability is also being simplified into three main states: Bound to Character, Account Shareable, and Tradable. Some Marketplace purchases will become shareable within the account instead of immediately binding to one character, though equipment will keep its current binding rules. Shared Storage is being expanded too, and same-account item mail will be folded into that system.

The patch will also bring utility changes for Kael, Letty, Sanyaa, and Belle, mostly aimed at making their core rotations less awkward. Balance changes are planned as well, with buffs listed for Hurk with Teide, Lynn with Battleshade, Achel, Miri, Eira, and Charon. Lann with Twin Swords, Staff Evie, and Lumielle are slated for nerfs, though the team says exact values may still change.
