Vaultbreakers Opens Free Alpha PvPvE Playtest on Steam Through October 21

BetaDwarf has opened a free Steam Alpha playtest for Vaultbreakers, its top-down extraction action RPG with both PvE and PvPvE modes. The test runs from October 15 at 10:00 CEST through October 21 at 23:59 CEST.

The Alpha includes all five playable heroes, the Scraplands map, and Breaker difficulty. Players can try it through the game’s Steam demo, and progress from the demo carries over into the playtest.

The current demo offers up to around seven hours of play, either solo or in three-player co-op. It includes two heroes, Nymera and Bjornir, along with the first Vault and its boss fight.

Vaultbreakers is being published under the re-established Square Enix Collective label, though BetaDwarf is retaining creative control over development. The full game is planned to expand beyond the demo with PvPvE extraction and five total heroes.
