V Rising is getting another balance and bug-fix patch despite being in maintenance mode
V Rising isn’t done with updates just yet. Even though Stunlock Studios previously said the vampire survival game had moved into maintenance mode, the studio says it’s preparing another patch focused on balance changes and bug fixes.
The team said it’s been collecting player feedback for the update and that the response was much larger than expected, with roughly three times as much feedback as its last form. Stunlock didn’t share a release date or a full list of changes yet, but it did confirm the patch is in the works.
That means players shouldn’t expect a major new content drop. At least based on what’s been announced so far, this sounds like a cleanup patch aimed at smoothing out balance issues and fixing problems players have been reporting since the game settled into post-launch support.
V Rising left early access in 2024 and later arrived on PlayStation 5, mixing open-world survival systems with boss hunting, base building, and PvP or co-op depending on how you play. Stunlock has already said active development on big updates is winding down, so any extra patch at this stage is a notable change from the usual maintenance-mode routine.
For now, the main takeaway is simple: another patch is coming, and it’s based directly on recent player feedback. The studio hasn’t said when it’ll land.
