Tree of Savior Drops Planned PvP Formula Overhaul After Player Feedback

Tree of Savior is no longer moving ahead with its planned PvP formula overhaul, according to the latest patch note preview from IMC Games. The change had been lined up for an upcoming update, but the studio says feedback after last week’s dev note pushed it to reconsider.

The overhaul was meant to address stat gaps tied to the Guild Wardrobe system. IMC now says making that kind of combat formula change right after a season update could cause more confusion, especially for players who have already settled into their builds and PvP setups.

The studio says it will keep reviewing problems connected to the Guild Dressing Room system internally. For now, though, the big PvP formula shift is off the table.

The same preview also lists a handful of smaller changes coming with the update:

  • The temporarily added Unknown Sanctuary NPC is being removed from the W server.
  • Saule’s Purification Orb and Giltine’s Chaos Orb usage counts will now show in Relic tooltips and the Orb UI.
  • A Character Info Inspection On/Off setting is being added, letting players allow or block others from viewing their character info.
  • The PvP Mastery debuff duration is being reduced to 20 seconds.
  • Removed content will now properly disappear from favorites in the Content Status Board.
  • A bug preventing Attendance Check from appearing when entering a map for the first time with a new character is being fixed.
