Tree of Savior Adds Officiant Class and Reworks Archaeology

Tree of Savior has added a new class called the Officiant, and it’s not quite what the name suggests. Rather than a support role or ceremonial flavor job, the Officiant is an area-of-effect caster built around smoke, incense, and zone control.

The class uses an incense burner as its main weapon, creating ritual zones from smoke that can trap, pressure, and gradually corner enemies. IMCGames describes it as a battlefield control class that focuses less on chasing targets and more on shaping where enemies can safely move.

The update also brings a larger rework to Tree of Savior’s archaeology gameplay for higher-level players. The new loop, called Forgotten Relics, has players take expeditions from the Altar Keeper, search for buried relics with a Detector, enter Relic Portals, then identify and enshrine discoveries at the Last Altar to strengthen future runs.

It’s a fairly specific update, but one that adds both a new combat option and a refreshed activity path for players already deep into the game. Tree of Savior is still running under IMCGames, with its class-heavy design remaining one of its main hooks.
