Torchlight: Infinite Season 14 Sends Players to Tartarus Prison on October 15
Torchlight: Infinite Season 14 launches Thursday, October 15, with Tartarus as its main seasonal mode. It’s a prison-themed activity built around hunting escapees, managing inmates, and then fighting through the mess you helped create.
The Tartarus loop starts with players tracking down escaped prisoners and collecting their nameplates. After that, the mode shifts into prison management, with 16 cells to fill and fights to arrange between inmates or against beasts. Once 20 turns of setup are done, players enter the final phase: battling through three prison levels across six difficulty tiers.
Rewards scale based on how far players push, so the mode sounds like it’s meant to mix planning with a more traditional endgame combat climb.
Season 14 is also adding a new hero trait, Spacetime Witness Youga, which can make spellcasting continuous. There’s a new progression system tied to gathering followers as well, offering both active and passive benefits.
Torchlight: Infinite is a free-to-play action RPG built around fast character builds, loot farming, and seasonal resets, so Tartarus looks like the next big experiment in giving players something new to optimize.
