Throne and Liberty delays its April 2 update by a week

Throne and Liberty’s planned April 2 update has been pushed back by a week. Amazon said the delay is meant to “ensure a smooth release,” but it didn’t give a more specific reason. The new release date wasn’t detailed in the source beyond the one-week delay.

According to the official post, patch notes also won’t arrive until next week. That’s left players waiting a bit longer for an update that was set to add a fair chunk of new content.

The patch was expected to bring Doomrot Grove, two co-op dungeons, new Dimensional Trial affixes, brooch accessories, updates to Chapel of Madness, and a new PvP battlefield. Those broad details were already known, even if the full notes still aren’t out for the global version.

Some players have been looking at translated Korean patch notes in the meantime, since that version wasn’t delayed. Reaction to the postponement has been pretty negative across social media and Reddit, especially from players already frustrated with the game’s recent stretch following server merges.

For now, Throne and Liberty players are basically in a holding pattern until Amazon shares the full patch notes and confirms the revised launch timing in more detail.
