Throne and Liberty Adds Ramux Archboss Fight, New Weapons, and Progression Cost Cuts

Throne and Liberty’s latest patch brings in a new Archboss encounter with Ramux and her dragon, Atirat, along with new Archboss weapon recipes, another Ascended Archboss Grand Assault run, and a handful of progression changes aimed at lowering costs.

Downtime for the update begins tonight at 10:30 p.m. Pacific and is expected to last around three and a half hours. According to the patch notes, the update also adds Stone Grave Cradle to Dimensional Trials, two level 60 Guild Raids, and the Scarlet Drift Battle Pass.

  • Ramux arrives as a new Archboss, with players needing to bring down Atirat first before fighting Ramux directly.
  • New Archboss weapon recipes are being added, with Thundercloud Scales used for 10 recipes and Skill Cores used for another 10.
  • Skill Core-based recipes won’t have a chance to roll Potential Abilities.
  • Ascended Archboss Grand Assault returns for two weeks with double Archboss spawns, meaning four per spawn.
  • New level 60 Guild Raids include Thuban and Porfos.
  • Equipment Growth costs are being reduced, including a 50% cut to Inheritance costs.

The Ramux fight starts with Atirat in the air, and the patch notes mention a ballista as part of the encounter. Once the dragon is down, Ramux absorbs its energy and the main fight begins.

Players with Ascended Talandre Archboss weapons will have to wait a little longer for upgrade options. Recipes and materials for those weapons are now planned for August 26, later than originally intended.

The balance pass touches multiple weapons, with extra attention on Gauntlets since they’re still the newest weapon type. Resonance enhancement is also being changed so attempts won’t result in a lower number than before. Players who already spent on enhancement should get a refund through in-game mail within 48 hours of the patch.
