The Division 2’s Echoes of Central Park DLC launches November 3

The Division 2 is heading back to New York on November 3 with Echoes of Central Park, a new DLC set in Central Park and the Upper West Side. Ubisoft says the expansion takes place after Warlords of New York and frames its story as a flashback, with a narrator guiding players through her version of what happened in the park.

The new area covers Central Park and parts of the Upper West Side, including Lincoln Square and the Dakota District. In the DLC’s setup, the park has become overgrown and cut off after the outbreak, with rumors spreading about a new virus variant and people disappearing or turning up dead. SHD agents are sent in after intercepting a distress signal from inside the park.

Echoes of Central Park can be played solo or in co-op. Players under level 40 will get a boost so they can start the DLC right away.

The expansion also adds companion characters who can fight alongside you after you help them deal with their own issues. The three companions are Brayleigh Callahan, a sniper with an Olympic shooting background, Elwood Franklin, a protector and former mall cop, and Morse Feeney, an assault-focused veteran and former first-wave Division agent. Ubisoft says they’ll react differently during missions, which is meant to add some variation on replays.

There’s also a new endgame loop tied to Central Park. Early on, players will be operating without GPS while dealing with heavy enemy pressure, then gradually unlock more control as they learn the area and pick up better gear. Performance in encounters can affect later runs, including rewards or disadvantages.

On the gear side, the DLC adds six new skill variants, including Corrosive Trap and Gas Bomber, along with a new Exotic weapon called The Ratel and a new gear set. Pre-orders include the NY Purifier Mask. Echoes of Central Park is coming to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC through the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, and it’ll also be available through Ubisoft+.
