Temtem Pioneers adds Fossil Tems as Kickstarter passes $336K
Crema has shared a few more details on Temtem Pioneers, the studio’s multiplayer survival sandbox set in the Temtem universe. The biggest new reveal is Fossil Tems, a new creature type found in the Downbelow. According to the official post, there will be three fossil species to discover, each with its own evolution.
These won’t work like standard captures. Players will need to piece Fossil Tems together through a new questline, and rebuilding one also unlocks a new dungeon. That’s a pretty different hook from the usual creature-hunting loop, and one of the clearer examples so far of how Pioneers is trying to separate itself from the main game.
Crema also posted more on multiplayer and world design during the campaign. The game supports up to six players on a server, with exploration tied either to the host staying online or to players setting up their own dedicated physical server. Another developer update also outlined several biomes, including the crystal biome that was previously unlocked as a stretch goal.
At the time of the original report, the Kickstarter had raised a little over $336,000. The next stretch goal is set at $350,000 and focuses on mount improvements, with 16 days left in the campaign.
Separately, Temtem Swarm just got a small but useful fix. Crema says earned Pacsuns are now backed up if a player gets disconnected in the middle of a run, which should help cut down on lost progress from connection issues.
