Steam Deck OLED Prices Jump by More Than 40%

Valve has raised prices on the Steam Deck OLED, with both current models seeing increases of more than 40%.

The 512GB Steam Deck OLED is now $789, up from $549. The 1TB model is now $949, up from $649. Valve cited higher component costs and logistics challenges as the reason for the change.

The increase follows earlier supply warnings around the handheld. Valve previously said the OLED model could be available “intermittently” in some regions because of the ongoing RAM shortage.

Valve also delayed some upcoming hardware plans because of supply and component pricing issues. The broader hardware market has been under similar pressure, with Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft all making recent pricing changes across consoles or subscription services.

This is a BIG price increase for what is now 4 year old hardware.
