Stars Reach Enters Early Access on August 18 With Three Launch Packages
Playable Worlds has set an Early Access date for Stars Reach. The shared-world MMO will open up on August 18, with three paid launch packages available depending on how much players want beyond the base game.
According to the official post, the Firstlight Pack is the standard option at $29.99. The Voyager Pack costs $49.99, while the Cosmonaut Pack is priced at $79.99. The higher tiers include extras such as cosmetics and early tool upgrades, though the full breakdown wasn’t detailed in the source.
Playable Worlds also released a new guided gameplay demo featuring Raph Koster. The footage runs close to 19 minutes and comes from the build shown to media in Los Angeles around Summer Game Fest, so it’s the same version that preview coverage was based on earlier this summer.
Before Early Access begins, the studio is planning a Server Slam to put the game under heavier load. No specific date was included in the source, but the goal is to test stability ahead of the August 18 launch.
There’s also a community event planned for Sunday, August 2 on the official Discord, focused on helping players get started. Players with access can join in-game, while others will be able to watch live on Twitch.
