Star Wars: The Old Republic’s Legacy Reborn Update Slips to Early June

Star Wars: The Old Republic’s next major update, 7.9: Legacy Reborn, has been delayed out of its planned May window. Broadsword now says the patch is targeting early June after the team found issues during the final stage of internal testing.

According to the official forum post, the team is taking extra time to polish the update before release. The post doesn’t spell out the specific problems, only that they were enough to move the launch by a short amount.

Legacy Reborn is set to close out the Legacy of the Sith storyline, so this is a fairly notable patch for long-time SWTOR players. The delay doesn’t sound like a major one, but there’s no exact release date yet beyond the early June target.

In the meantime, Broadsword has published a new short story, “Last Road to Khar Shian”, which the team recommends reading before update 7.9 arrives. The story features Darth Malgus, Shae Vizla, and her crew, and is meant to lead into the events of the patch.
