Star Wars: The Old Republic 7.9 Lands June 2 With Legacy of the Sith Finale

Star Wars: The Old Republic Game Update 7.9, Legacy Reborn, is scheduled to launch on June 2 after a short delay last week. The update closes out the long-running Legacy of the Sith storyline, starts PvP Season 10, adds new Cartel Market items, and brings a handful of quality-of-life fixes.

Broadsword’s main focus here is the story finale. Darth Nul’s holocron has been stolen, Darth Malgus and Shae Vizla are headed into the conflict, and the update brings players to Khar Shian for a major battle tied to Naga Sadow, the Hidden Chain, Heta Kol, Darth Jadus, and others.

According to the patch notes, the Khar Shian sequence includes multiple perspectives, with players taking control of certain allies during parts of the fight. Some scenes will include a motion sickness warning, and Broadsword says those sections can be skipped without missing critical story information.

PvP Season 10 also begins with the update and is set to run for 16 weeks. The Cartel Market will get new items inspired by Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, along with Naga Sadow-themed additions.

On the smaller side, 7.9 improves the Companion Locator terminal, adjusts the Wreckage on Dantooine Dynamic Encounter, and includes bug fixes. Servers are expected to go down at 7:00 a.m. Central Time for about four hours while the update is deployed.
