Star Trek Online is adding a public watch list for upcoming patches and known issues

Star Trek Online studio Cryptic has started publishing a public Watch List meant to give players a clearer look at what’s coming in future patches, along with bugs and issues the team is already tracking.

The idea is pretty simple: instead of players getting blindsided by a patch or wondering whether a problem has even been seen, the Watch List lays out what’s currently on the team’s radar. According to Cryptic’s official post, the list covers upcoming fixes and changes that are planned but not locked in, so details can still shift before anything goes live.

That also means it’s not a full roadmap. Cryptic says the Watch List is there to improve visibility, not to guarantee timing for every fix or feature. If something moves, gets delayed, or is dropped, that can happen.

For players, the useful part is straightforward: it gives a single place to check for known issues and work-in-progress changes before the next update lands. In a long-running MMO like Star Trek Online, that kind of heads-up can save some confusion, especially when patches tweak systems, missions, or event content without much warning.

It’s a small change, but a practical one. If Cryptic keeps it updated regularly, it should make it easier to track what the studio is actually working on instead of piecing it together from patch notes after the fact.
