SEED’s CityLife Patch Adds Power Networks, Restaurants, and Social Events

Klang Games has rolled out SEED’s 0.4 CityLife update, live as of November 3, 2026, for the early access colony management MMO. The patch adds some big infrastructure pieces to Avesta, including player-built power networks, restaurant-style services, construction skills, gatherings, and a rebuilt Organizations window.

The headline change is power. Until now, Seed Industries has kept machines running through free wireless power, but that’s being phased out. Machines still work without power for the moment, so colonies won’t suddenly grind to a halt, but players can now start building networks with solar panels, fuel generators, local power lines, transformers, and society-level substations.

  • Service location owners can now create Dine-in and Take-away food businesses, with kitchens, ticket boards, pick-up counters, staffing needs, menus, and pricing.
  • Seedlings can train construction skills by working on buildings, with future requirements planned for building styles and sizes.
  • Gatherings let a Seedling host a one-time social event for members of its society, either by invite or through Spark.
  • SeedMail has been added as an in-game mail client, including drafts, replies, forwarding, archiving, announcements, and mobile app support.
  • The old Business and Society windows have been merged into a redesigned Organizations window covering societies, businesses, groups, and departments.
  • Founding a society now requires a Founding Ticket from every lobby member, with new accounts getting one free ticket.

CityLife also makes several economy and building changes. Territory claim fees are now paid off over time for tiles bought through the Harberger system, while tall buildings should cost fewer extra materials thanks to a new formula for upper floors. Players can also craft colored paint buckets and apply supported exterior colors to buildings.

There’s more around long-term progression, too. Klang says SEED now has more than 200 new achievements, while society progression has expanded from 6 tiers to 11. Existing societies won’t lose roles or permissions they already unlocked, though population caps now vary by tier.

Smaller additions include balconies for higher-tier building styles, Memoria for remembering Seedlings after they die, visible pregnancy progression, autonomous job switching after long player absences, and a new intro video for new players.
