Scars of Honor’s next Steam playtest starts April 30

Scars of Honor is getting another playtest later this month, and this one is being handled through Steam instead of Discord. Players can now request access through the game’s Steam page. The game bills itself as a “True free-to-play MMORPG” with an emphasis on player choice and skill-based combat.

The test is scheduled to run from Thursday, April 30 through Monday, May 11. Developer Beast Burst Entertainment says this build includes combat and system updates it has been working on over the past few months, though it’s framing the event as a technical test rather than a broader content showcase.

That means the build may change during the test, and the studio says it plans to collect feedback and make adjustments as it goes. It also hasn’t said how many players will get in or exactly what content will be available this time.

Access won’t be instant for everyone. Invitations are set to go out in waves, so anyone interested will want to put in a request sooner rather than later.

Scars of Honor is a free-to-play MMORPG, and this latest test looks like another step toward getting its core combat and systems into better shape before a wider rollout.
