RuneScape’s Deep Clean update adds keyboard Bank PIN entry and a higher house furniture cap

RuneScape’s Deep Clean quality-of-life update is live, bringing a long list of small cleanup changes aimed at making day-to-day play a bit less fussy. The two headline additions are keyboard entry for Bank PINs and a higher furniture limit for Player-Owned Houses, which now caps out at 500 items.

There is one catch on the Bank PIN change: your character needs to be linked to a Jagex account, and the feature has to be enabled in the Settings menu. For players who regularly bank while skilling, bossing, or swapping gear, it’s the kind of change that should be felt immediately.

The update also touches a wide spread of older systems, UI quirks, teleport menus, boss health bars, and confirmation pop-ups. Some of the more notable changes include:

  • Level 99 Skillcapes, inverted Skillcapes, Master Skillcapes, and related Max Guild banners have updated icons and visuals.
  • Fairy Rings now open the configuration interface on left-click, with right-click options for Zanaris and your last destination.
  • More older bosses, including Corporeal Beast and Chaos Elemental, now use modern boss health bars.
  • Boss instance expiry warnings have been removed in most cases, except for bosses that require killcounts, such as GWD1 and GWD2.
  • The TokKul-Zo can now hold up to 40,000 charges, with recharging priced at 10 TokKul per charge.
  • Deep Sea Fishing’s “Deposit all fish” option now also banks fish carried by a beast of burden familiar.
  • Quest difficulty categories have been reintroduced.
  • A new setting lets players turn off the info box that appears above dropped items.

Jagex has also cut down on several confirmation boxes, including some around Death’s item reclaim, God Wars Dungeon 2 doors, herb burners, Archaeology travel maps, Invention blueprint discovery, and crop composting. In some cases, warnings have been removed entirely. In others, players can now choose “Don’t ask me again.”

There are a few smaller PvM fixes in the mix too. Poison spiders near the King Black Dragon entrance can no longer hit players through the wall and interrupt instance creation, while the Kalphite Queen entrance has been adjusted to help stop Kalphite Guardians from getting in the way.
