RuneScape rolls out DailyScape overhaul and opens RuneMetrics to all members

RuneScape has pushed its latest DailyScape overhaul live, continuing Jagex’s recent effort to make daily chores feel less mandatory. The update changes several recurring activities, removes some daily systems outright, and also unlocks RuneMetrics for all subscribers.

According to the patch notes, the biggest part of the update is a cleanup of older daily content. Jagex says some activities have been adjusted to keep their basic purpose, while others that were built around daily obligation have been removed instead.

  • Guthixian Cache has been changed
  • Soul Reaper tasks have been adjusted
  • Shop item collection runs have been reworked
  • Wilderness events and warbands have been removed
  • Divine locations have been removed
  • Motherlode activities have been removed

The full list is pretty granular, so regular players will probably want to check the notes for the exact numbers and rule changes tied to each activity.

Jagex also bundled in more combat modernization tweaks this week, along with general fixes. In a separate announcement, the studio said RuneMetrics is now available to all members, giving subscribers access to the game’s tracking and stat tools without the extra restriction that used to be attached to it.

This follows RuneScape’s broader restoration push from earlier in March, which has focused on cleaning up old systems and reducing the sense that players need to log in every day just to keep up.
