Rise of Agon: Reforged Trailer Shows 64-Bit Upgrade Ahead of September 30 Beta
Toxic Rain Studios has released a new gameplay trailer for Rise of Agon: Reforged, giving players a clearer look at the PvP MMORPG’s move to 64-bit servers before open beta begins on September 30.
The trailer focuses heavily on the upgraded visuals and lighting, with a tour through the game’s high-fantasy zones, but it also shows some of the larger gameplay changes coming with Reforged. That includes PvE mastery tracks, territory control, tutorial islands, faction cities, and the game’s three race-based factions.
Reforged is the next major step for Darkfall Rise of Agon, which has been moving away from its older 32-bit setup. The previous 32-bit Reforged server went offline on September 16, and the shift includes a full character and clan wipe. Account-applied game time, skins, and titles are carrying over.
The beta will run through a standalone client for now. A Steam launch is still planned for next year, with the studio previously pointing to a rough March target after an estimated four to six months of beta testing.
For players who’ve been following the relaunch, the trailer is mostly a “show, don’t tell” follow-up to the earlier Reforged overview. Less theory, more footage of what Agon looks like after the tech upgrade.
