Rise of Agon: Reforged Patch Slows Glyph Captures and Raises Monster Gold Drops

Toxic Rain Studios has pushed out another Rise of Agon: Reforged patch, this time aimed at the new rune glyph battles that arrived in the previous update. Glyphs now take much longer to capture, allies and party members can properly take part in fights, and faction glyphs can once again be declared on at any time outside their own post-battle protection.

The patch also gives the game’s economy a noticeable bump. Monsters now drop about 70% more gold and reagents, several creatures have had specific loot adjusted, and players have a new Food slot that automatically eats from a stack when no meal buff is active.

  • All 103 glyphs are now rune glyphs, including White View and Ottenhal, with both stones moved to new positions.
  • Capturing a glyph now takes 10 minutes while holding all three altars, or 15 minutes while holding two. Previously, captures could take only one to two minutes.
  • Party members and allies now count on your side in lawless glyph fights, including unclanned players who are grouped with a member of the attacking or defending clan.
  • Faction Clanstones are now sold by faction war quartermasters for 30 faction points at rank 2.
  • Monster gold and reagent drops are up by roughly 70%, with extra adjustments for golems, Sarnakh, Malaut, Kraken, Leviathan, and several other creatures.
  • The new Food slot sits on the paperdoll near the Loot Bag and automatically consumes food when needed. It drops on death like the Loot Bag.
  • A new audio option lets players mute other players’ instruments, while keeping their own instrument sounds enabled.

There are a few smaller fixes in the patch too. Respawning at White View should now place players on the wall walk instead of dropping them onto the bridge below, faction capes have been adjusted visually, and flute notes should no longer overlap. The update also fixes a mount bug after death, a loading screen freeze tied to voice chat, and invisible sea storm waterspouts.

The game will now ask players to send a crash report after a crash. If a report isn’t sent right away, the prompt should appear again the next time the game starts.
