Reaper Actual sets May 20 early access date, with $20 to $75 founder packs

Distinct Possibility Studios has locked in an early access launch date for its shooter MMO Reaper Actual. The game is set to arrive on May 20, with three paid entry tiers priced at $20, $50, and $75.

The cheapest option, called Foundation Alpha, includes the character Havoc and a bunker base. Charon’s Pact adds a second character, while the top-tier Stygian Oath edition unlocks all four characters and a warehouse base. Distinct Possibility says early access will include the game’s persistent world, player economy, player bases, and character-specific skills.

Before that, the studio is opening the game to streamers and content creators starting today through Creators.gg. That test appears to be limited to influencers rather than a broader public beta.

The date follows the studio’s recent funding announcement and a Discord town hall led by John Smedley. During that stream, Smedley said the team has made substantial progress over the last few months and plans to communicate more regularly going forward.

He also said the studio is putting a lot of focus on the PvP side of Reaper Actual‘s PvPvE design. The game’s optional blockchain features are still part of the plan as well, which remains one of its more unusual talking points. A longer-term roadmap is expected sometime next week, though the studio hasn’t shared those details yet.
