Reaper Actual is headed to Steam Early Access in May after a new funding round
Distinct Possibility Studios says its MMOFPS Reaper Actual is coming to Steam Early Access in May. The studio also announced that it has closed another round of funding, though it didn’t share the size of the investment.
According to the studio’s announcement, the new funding round was led by Decasonic. Distinct Possibility also said Bing Gordon and Paul Hsu have joined its board of directors.
Reaper Actual is the extraction-focused online shooter from John Smedley’s Distinct Possibility Studios. The project has drawn attention partly because the team includes former PlanetSide 2 developers, and the game has been pitched as a large-scale persistent shooter with MMO elements.
The game entered a paid alpha last fall, and this is the clearest release window it’s had since then. For now, the main takeaway is simple: development is still moving, the studio has fresh funding, and a Steam Early Access launch is now scheduled for May.
More details about the game are available on the official site, but the studio hasn’t shared pricing or a specific Early Access date in the material provided here.
