Project Gorgon Merges Four Servers Into Dreva in Latest Update

Project Gorgon’s latest update, Voltronin’, has merged four lower-population servers into one. Laeth, Miraverre, Strekios, and Dreva are now combined under the Dreva server, with characters from all four worlds moved over.

The change is meant to make grouping easier after the game’s launch spread players across too many servers. If you had characters on the affected servers, they should now appear on Dreva, though there are a few cleanup issues still being handled.

  • Some shared storage items went missing during the merge. The team says those will be restored from backups in an update next week.
  • Brewing recipes may have changed because account IDs changed. A fix is also planned for next week.
  • Characters whose names conflicted with existing names may have been renamed. A free rename is available through the Player Rename Golem in Serbule, and the credit lasts one year.
  • Guild names may have changed if there was a conflict, usually by adding “of Laeth,” “of Miraverre,” or “of Strekios.” There’s currently no guild rename option.
  • Player-stall rental history has been wiped, though the items still exist. Players can rent a new stall or retrieve shop items from Selphie in Serbule.

To help with the sudden character pile-up, Dreva is also getting two temporary extra character slots for 30 to 60 days. After that, any characters over the account’s slot limit will become inaccessible until players delete characters or add more slots. Migrated characters now only take one hour to fully delete, regardless of recent deletion history.

The update also adds Project Gorgon’s first batch of Steam achievements. Most are retroactive, so players who already qualify should get them after logging in. More achievements are planned for later updates.

Elsewhere, loading screens now show random in-game locations, the NPC Favor-Up screen has been redesigned, and the Statehelm dice game Keelflip is playable again with a new demoralization limit on repeated losses. Smaller changes include updated vegetation in several zones, a new Shadow Quality graphics setting, lockable casting and activity bars, and improved Angling XP for Catch and Release.
