Pax Dei’s R48 Update Adds New Crafting Items and Redeeming Queue Changes

Mainframe has outlined Pax Dei’s next update, R48, which sounds like a smaller release focused on a bit of new content and some practical quality-of-life work. There’s no release date in the update, but the studio says players can expect new gatherables, decorations, equipment, and a useful change to how expired plot items are recovered.

According to Mainframe’s Discord post, R48 is themed around Demira for players who follow the game’s lore. In practical terms, that means a new plant called Blessed Sevenfold, a new creature called the Radiant Hart, and a few craftable decorations tied to them.

  • New craftables include the Radiant Hart Trophy, Radiant Hart Chandelier, and Ward of Demira.
  • A new version of the Sylvan Staff is coming with a stronger HP buff and better crowd control resistance.
  • The Shepherd Hat is being added with a version of the lull spell.
  • The settings menu is getting UI changes, and consumable refresh behavior is being adjusted.

The biggest day-to-day change may be the Redeeming Queue update. When a plot expires, items sent to the queue will no longer be locked to a specific zone. Players will be able to claim them from anywhere in the same world, which should make relocating less of a hassle.

There’s one limit to that change: canceled market items will still be zone-locked. Mainframe says that’s meant to stop players from using the Redeeming Queue as a way to move goods across the map.

The studio also gave a brief look beyond R48. Horses are now a major focus, with more development resources being put into that feature. Fishing, despite having a rough working prototype, is being paused for now while the smaller team prioritizes mounts. Older wearables are also on the list for a future reassessment, though no timing was given.
