Monsters & Memories Details Shaman and Inquisitor Reworks in New Class Deep Dives
Monsters & Memories has posted two more class deep dives, this time covering the Shaman and Inquisitor. Both classes are now part of the game’s latest beta build for players with access, with the write-ups explaining how each role has been adjusted ahead of wider testing.
The official Shaman deep dive frames the class as a spirit-focused support role. Shamans are built around healing, buffs, debuffs, and utility, with the team saying the class has been moved further away from some older ability themes and closer to its spiritual identity.
On the healing side, Shamans have four main options, including a standard cast heal, a heal-over-time spell called Pact of Renewal, and two group healing tools meant for different situations. They also get damage spells, debuffs, and utility abilities, including Aspect of the Bear, a quest-earned shapeshift that lets the player become a bear and see invisible entities and magical effects.
The official Inquisitor deep dive is more about refinement than a full rebuild. The Inquisitor remains a tank class with tools aimed at shutting down casters, though some spell lines and auras have been removed, merged, or adjusted to make the class feel less like the Enchanter.
Inquisitors still lean on control, interrupts, defensive tools, and group support auras. The team has also added a defensive option for melee-heavy fights, though it costs mana and isn’t meant to replace the class’s usual anti-caster focus.
These deep dives are mostly aimed at beta players planning their next character or checking how recent class changes landed. Everyone else gets a clearer look at how Monsters & Memories is trying to define its support and tank roles before early access.
