Pantheon Roadmap Will Focus First on Stability and a Balanced 1-50 Experience
Visionary Realms has started answering player questions from a recent Pantheon Discord Q&A, and the first batch makes the studio’s short-term priority pretty clear: get the game stable, balanced, and fun again before locking in bigger dates.
Project Manager Robert Crane said a new roadmap is being worked on and is expected “in the coming weeks,” but the team isn’t ready to attach dates yet. The first planned build on that roadmap will focus on a balanced level 1-50 experience, covering combat, progression, NPCs, and itemization.
There’s still no updated 1.0 launch window. Crane said the studio wants to ship that first balanced build, see whether the community agrees it’s moving in the right direction, and then talk more seriously about launch timing.
- Visionary Realms currently has 30 team members, with 25 in development and five in management. HR Director Jeanna Ruschell said the full-time equivalent is around 26.
- CEO Chris Rowan said the studio’s current funding is enough to bring Pantheon to 1.0, though additional funding would let the team move faster. The company isn’t sharing burn rate details.
- Faerthale is still planned to arrive in time for the wipe, though Crane said the zone is large and will likely be split across multiple releases.
- Designer Mark Maraglino said Necromancer and Monk are enabled on internal servers and should be playable with the next content update.
- Bard remains a 1.0 stretch goal. It’s still in the design phase and not yet in active development.
- Crafting won’t be part of the upcoming combat and progression update. Maraglino listed its return for 2027.
More answers from the community Q&A are expected next week, including additional development process and systems topics.
