Palia’s Beauty and the Beach Patch Brings Back Shimmerflies and Adds a New Lunar Path
Palia’s next summer update, Beauty and the Beach, is set to go live tomorrow with patch 0.205. The update adds a new Lunar Path, brings Shimmerflies back to Kilima, extends the Summer Pop Up event, and adds more ranching and cosmetic items.
The main new progression track is Lunar Path: Path of the Briar, which comes with new rewards to earn. Shimmerflies are also returning as part of the Great Shimmerfly Migration, tied to a new Bulletin Board activity that asks players to catch them. Insect-a-Palooza is coming back too, so there’ll be more bug-catching to do for anyone leaning into the summer event loop.
Singularity 6 is also extending the Summer Pop Up event by one week. The extra time is partly meant to help players who ran into controller issues, especially on console. The patch is expected to address those problems while keeping the event open a little longer for everyone.
On the ranching side, the Flutterfox is the next animal players will be able to raise. There’s also a new Phoenixfire Riffroc for players who want another flashier mount-style companion option.
Patch 0.205 adds more decor as well, including banners, tapestries, storybook-themed items, new plushes, and Pride-inspired tints. The Premium Store is getting new items too, including Palia’s first two-person dance emote, a new Landscape, Shimmerfly tool skins, and a Shimmering Bubble glider. The patch also raises the friends list cap to 250.
More details are available in the patch post.
