Old School RuneScape Cuts Proposed Quest Month Darts After Player Feedback
Jagex has revised its Old School RuneScape Quest Month rewards poll, removing both proposed new dart types after feedback from players. The studio cited concerns around item bloat, the Tourist Trap quest’s established place in early Ranged progression, the fact that knives already cover similar ground, and whether untradeable darts would be worth the effort.
The November Quest Month event is still moving ahead after being approved by players at the RuneFest Summit. The plan is for weekly surprise quests, with rewards now focused more tightly on early-game utility and teaching brand-new players how Hunter works.
The updated poll is expected to go live soon with three reward questions:
- An untradeable bone storage item that holds 28 bones, can only be unloaded at a bank, and is worn in the back slot. This would come from an Experienced surprise quest.
- A tradeable amulet with +10 Ranged Attack aimed at early players. The first copy would be free, with extras sold through a shop. This would come from an Intermediate surprise quest.
- A small set of new low-level Hunter creatures unlocked through a Novice surprise quest. These would not appear in Hunter Rumours.
Jagex says the goal for the Hunter additions is to help new players learn the skill earlier. Low-level Hunter areas are planned for Musa Point, Al Kharid, and Falador using existing creatures, while the quest itself will introduce new ones.
