DC Universe Online Adds Unscaled Private Queues in Beta on October 13
DC Universe Online is adding Unscaled Private Queues on October 13, 2026, giving players a way to revisit older content without having their characters scaled down. The feature is launching in beta, so Daybreak is looking for feedback once players start running it.
The new option will sit under On Duty, then Private Unscaled (Beta). Party leaders can queue for normal-difficulty instances without the usual role restrictions or required player counts, which should make it easier for small groups, overgeared friends, or solo-minded players to jump into older runs on their own terms.
Unscaled means both sides keep their original numbers. Your character keeps their current Combat Rating, gear, Allies, Artifacts, and other power sources. Enemy NPCs keep the Combat Rating they had for that content instead of being adjusted around the group.
There are some limits. Unscaled Private Queues won’t award Source Marks or event progress. Other loot can still drop, but it’ll be tied to the content’s level rather than your character’s current level. Feats remain available, so players looking to clean up older achievements should still be able to do that through the mode.
Since this is a beta feature, the team is asking players to report issues with combat balance, instance behavior, feats, and timed drops through the official DCUO forums.
