Old School RuneScape Adds Player-Designed Island Wyrmscraig
Old School RuneScape has opened up Wyrmscraig, a new island area created from Jagex’s Player-Designed Island Competition. The winning concept came from OSRS player and creator ScreteMonge, also known as Gnome, and was picked from more than 1,000 entries.
The island sits across the south-west sea of Gielinor in the Unquiet Ocean, with a new village, questline, skilling activities, Slayer content, and a repeatable boss. Jagex also shared a short video showing the new area.
- Fallen From Grace is the new quest introducing Wyrmscraig and its guardian figure, The Mad Angel.
- After finishing the quest, players can fight The Mad Angel as a repeatable boss and work toward the Hallowfell weapon.
- Mortimer is a new high-level Slayer Master, available after progressing through Fallen From Grace. He requires 100 Combat and 70 Slayer, or 99 Slayer, depending on unlock path.
- Mortimer gives players a choice of Slayer assignments instead of a single task, with more options unlocking over time. Skipping tasks will cost more.
- Golem Crafting unlocks after Fallen From Grace and offers an alternative Crafting training method using sunstone from the island.
- Goat Hunting is a new Hunter activity where players herd goats into spike pits for XP, with Mr McGroot available as a unique pet reward.
Wyrmscraig’s main village is described as a remote settlement built around surviving the island’s rough terrain and hostile wildlife. The new content leans into that setup, with the quest acting as the entry point before opening the boss and skilling options.
The update is live as of July 29, 2026.
