Black Desert Mobile Adds New Nightmare Mode and Overhauls Pets

Pearl Abyss has rolled out a new Black Desert Mobile update with a fresh Nightmare mode, a reworked pet system, and some cleanup for older progression content.

The main addition is Ruins of the Abyss That Lost Its Light, a new Nightmare mode built around tougher monsters, traps, and PvP encounters. Players can earn progression rewards there, including higher-tier enhancement materials, skill upgrade items, and boss-related resources.

• The new Pet Adoption Center lets players obtain tier 1 through tier 7 pets.
• A Release feature now provides materials for pet advancement and skill changes, replacing the old need for duplicate pets.
• World Boss spawns have been reduced to two weekly sessions, now on Mondays and Fridays, with increased loot and Knowledge rewards.
• Boss Rush has been condensed from 10 difficulty levels into one stage, while keeping rewards at the previous highest difficulty level.
• The Citrus Outfit is now available through the Encarosha Boutique.

Two events are also running through August 10. Meet Your New Pet rewards daily playtime and monster kills with Generation 4 to 6 Pet Chests, while Event Lucky Chest gives players a shot at higher-tier materials or larger stacks of selected crafting materials.
