NCsoft to buy 70% of mobile studio JustPlay for $202 million
NCsoft is planning to acquire a 70% stake in Berlin-based mobile developer JustPlay in a deal valued at $202 million. The company expects the acquisition to close on April 30, 2026, as it continues pushing further into casual mobile games.
JustPlay was founded in 2020 by former AppLovin executives and runs more than 40 casual mobile titles. NCsoft says around 70% of JustPlay’s revenue comes from North America.
NCsoft co-CEO Byungmoo Park also pointed to JustPlay’s growth, saying the studio’s revenue is projected to rise 88% year-over-year in 2026.
This move follows other recent NCsoft bets in the space. Last December, the company made a majority investment in Singapore-based mobile publisher Indygo valuing that deal at $103.8 million.
NCsoft has also acquired Vietnam-based casual games developer Lihuhu and Seoul-based mobile studio Springcomes. The company launched its casual games unit in August 2025, led by Anel Ceman, who previously worked with Tripledot and Outfit7.
