Myth of Soma – Rebirth Goes Live With Fresh Servers, New Quests, and Launch Events

Myth of Soma – Rebirth is now live as of October 31, 2026, bringing back the classic MMORPG with a fresh start. Characters, items, and guilds from the test period have been wiped, though accounts and names reserved through /claim are still waiting for players.

The launcher should patch players to the launch client automatically. The launcher also patches players in China through a China relay first, and a faster China mirror of the website is available. The main official site is also now available in Korean and Chinese, including news posts, buttons, and account pages.

The launch includes a new questline called The Thousand Year Oath, adding 20 quests in Thousand Year Town for human characters from level 6 to 25. These use the quest log, NPC markers, kill counters, and on-screen guidance, so players always know where to go next.

New characters also start with 12 hours of rested time, which drains while hunting and refills when the character isn’t gaining experience, whether logged in or out. After five minutes away from EXP gain, it begins restoring, and eight hours away refills the full 12-hour pool.

There’s a short launch event running now too. Restless Spirits can rise from killed monsters until November 3, dropping Soul Wisps. Wisp Witch Redrup will trade those wisps for six items until November 7, including lanterns, cosmetic titles, pets, and the new Yellow Talisman, which comes with the Talisman Keeper title and a Little Jiangshi companion.

The launch build also adds five new legendary monster abilities, including Grave Ring, Sinkhole, Doom Mark, Stone Skin, and Grasping Mire. Legendary monsters can appear in the wild at roughly one in 2,000 spawns and now pull from a pool of 12 possible abilities.

Balance changes touch devil weapon drops, Rift Quartermaster prices, leech effects, Spear Toss, Harpoon, PvP flagging, and several monster and crafting rewards. There are also fixes for party duels, auto-attack movement, spell casting while running, item equipping, bounty rewards, localization, pet names, and the Bestiary.
