ArcheAge Chronicles Won’t Have Server Transfers or Cross-Server Play in Early Access

ArcheAge Chronicles players will need to coordinate before jumping into Early Access. XLGAMES says characters can’t be moved between servers during the paid Early Access period, and players on different servers won’t be able to play together.

That means server choice is locked in once you create a character, at least for now. If you’re planning to play with friends, guildmates, or a pre-made group, everyone needs to pick the same server from the start.

The studio said it may look at adding character transfers later, but there’s no transfer feature planned for Early Access and no confirmed timeline for when, or if, one might arrive.

ArcheAge Chronicles launches into paid Early Access on Steam on November 3, 2026. The clarification went out one day before launch, likely to head off the usual MMO problem of friend groups getting split across servers and finding out too late that there’s no easy fix.
