Lineage 2 dev Q&A outlines server-specific updates for Samurai, Wolf, Aden, Classic, and Live
NCSoft has shared a new Lineage 2 anniversary Q&A covering planned changes across the MMORPG’s different server types, with a few concrete updates for Samurai, Wolf, Aden, Classic, and Live players.
According to the official anniversary page, the game is still in the middle of its 22nd anniversary celebration. The related developer Q&A focused less on broad announcements and more on server-specific questions, so most of the takeaways are pretty granular.
- Samurai servers are set to get more frequent access to supply materials aimed at helping new players.
- Wolf servers are slated to receive seven cross-server castles in July.
- A Summoner rework is planned for Wolf later this year.
- Aden is due for Dreadnought updates sometime this year.
- Classic is expected to get an instanced PvP zone in the fall.
- For Live servers, the big promise was better communication from the team.
That’s the bulk of the news. There weren’t many hard dates outside the July timing for Wolf’s cross-server castles and the fall window for Classic’s PvP zone, and some of the answers were broad enough that players will probably be waiting on fuller patch notes before they know exactly how these changes will work.
Still, if you play on one of Lineage II’s newer or more specialized server rulesets, this Q&A at least gives a clearer idea of what NCSoft says it’s working on next.
