Hearthstone’s Cataclysm expansion is now live with new cards and a refreshed rewards track

Hearthstone’s Cataclysm expansion is now live, adding a new batch of cards built around Deathwing and a few new mechanics. According to the official post, the set introduces the Deathwing hero card for Shaman and Warrior, along with the new Shatter and Herald keywords and the return of Colossal minions for some classes.

The launch also comes with a refreshed Tavern Pass and rewards track. Blizzard says players also get temporary free access to cards from Emerald Dream and Lost City of Un’Goro as part of the update, though that offer is limited-time.

For anyone who hasn’t kept up with the pre-release rollout, this is the full launch of Hearthstone’s latest expansion rather than another preview beat. The big draw is the Deathwing-themed card set, with the new hero card positioned as one of the centerpieces for Shaman and Warrior decks.

Blizzard also posted details on the new progression setup in a separate rewards track update. If you’re jumping in now, that’s where the Tavern Pass changes and track rewards are laid out.
