Guild Wars Reforged mobile soft launch goes live early in some regions

ArenaNet has quietly started rolling out the mobile version of Guild Wars Reforged ahead of its planned summer launch. The soft launch went live last night on iOS and Android, though it appears to be limited to some regions for now.

That means at least a portion of players can download and start playing early while ArenaNet tests the release before the full launch. The studio had previously said the mobile port was coming sometime this summer, so this is an earlier-than-expected first step rather than the complete worldwide release.

The original Guild Wars is ArenaNet’s long-running online RPG, and Reforged is its updated version for modern platforms. A mobile release has been in the works as part of that broader push, letting players take the game onto phones and tablets instead of sticking to PC.

ArenaNet hasn’t fully opened the gates yet, and the source material doesn’t specify which countries are included in the soft launch. If you don’t see it on the App Store or Google Play, that’s likely why. For everyone else, the wider launch is still expected sometime this summer.
