Guild Wars CCG Mistbound Announced for PC and Mobile
The Guild Wars franchise is getting a free-to-play digital collectible card game called Mistbound, with a PC and mobile launch planned. NC is developing the game under license from ArenaNet, and bilibili will publish it worldwide.
According to the official site, Mistbound uses a 5×3 tactical grid where players place and reposition cards while fighting enemies. The hook is movement: cards can shift in multiple directions each turn, so positioning matters alongside deckbuilding.
The game will include both single-player and multiplayer modes, with characters, locations, audio, and visual touches pulled from Guild Wars. The nine Guild Wars professions are also represented, affecting how each commander plays.
NC is pitching the design as easy to pick up, but with room for more involved tactics through knockbacks, pulls, flanking, and shifting board positions. The team includes Baek Hakjun, the former Hearthstone pro known as Kranich.
There’s no release date listed yet. For now, the announcement confirms the basic setup, platforms, free-to-play model, and that Mistbound is being built as a separate card game tied directly to the wider Guild Wars setting.
