Guild Wars 2 Shows Code of Creation Raid and Convergence Rewards Ahead of September 15
ArenaNet has shared a new look at Code of Creation, the September 15 update that closes out Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity. The preview focuses on the update’s new raid, Nexus of Eternity, and the rewards tied to its new Convergence activity.
The footage gives players a quick peek at a starry, constellation-like boss encounter, new weapon skins with a jagged necrotic look, and at least one reward that lets player characters turn into a giant Asura. It’s more of a showcase than a full breakdown, so expect the finer details to come closer to patch day.
Code of Creation is the third and final quarterly update for Visions of Eternity. The main additions confirmed so far include:
- Leyspring Hollows, a new zone
- Rift Amplification masteries
- Solitary Throne, a new Fractal with normal and challenge modes
- Convergence: Nexus of Eternity as a public instance
- Nexus of Eternity raid in normal, challenge, and legendary challenge modes
- Wages of Stars, a new legendary sword
The raid won’t get all of its difficulty options on day one. Challenge mode is scheduled for September 29, while legendary challenge mode is set for October 13.
ArenaNet is expected to keep rolling out previews before Code of Creation lands, but for now this is the first real look at the update’s raid and Convergence rewards.
