Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.57 Adjusts Beastmaster’s Crucible and Dates Ranking Season 1

Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.57 is live with a handful of Beastmaster-focused changes, including adjustments to the Crucible of the Unbroken and a date for its first ranking season. Season 1 of Crucible Rankings begins Sunday, October 25, 2026 at 10:00 p.m. PDT and is planned to run until late November, with the exact end time still to be announced.

The patch also adds same-region player matching on Japanese data centers. That means matchmaking and party recruitment can now work across all logical data centers within Japan’s physical data center. Square Enix says the feature is planned for other regions once it’s confirmed to be stable.

Most of the gameplay changes are aimed at cleaning up Crucible runs and Beastmaster pet behavior. If a beast has been told to Stay, it will now turn toward its target before using Tempered Release or Parting Blow. Previously, beasts could fail to use those actions if they weren’t already facing the right way.

  • Crucible Mode selection is now temporarily saved, so your previous Standard, First Degree, Second Degree, or Third Degree choice stays as the default until logout.
  • Familiars will be automatically assigned to battlehorns before entering an enemy space if your team has three or fewer familiars.
  • If one or more battlehorns is unassigned, the warning prompt before entering an enemy space now defaults to “No.”
  • Elite enemy score rewards have been raised from 625 to 800.
  • The Sleepless Survival score bonus has been increased from 375 to 1,000.

Players who want to take part in Crucible Rankings will need to run the Crucible of the Unbroken on Third Degree and check “Participate in rankings” before entering. Scores are based on the last three attempts of each board, must be recorded on the player’s Home World, and will be grouped by physical data center. Lauda in the Central Shroud at X:21.9, Y:22.8 can show your current ranking score.

When the season ends, the top 300 players per physical data center will receive rewards through the Moogle Delivery Service. A pre-season period will follow before Season 2 begins.

Patch 7.57 also fixes several Beastmaster and Crucible-related bugs, including issues with capturing dullahans, Calamity damage at range, Board Layout access, and gamepad loot cursor placement.
