EverQuest Legends preorder beta is live ahead of July launch
The EverQuest Legends preorder beta is now open, giving early buyers a chance to get onto the servers before the MMORPG’s full launch on July 28. Executive Producer David “Sysyphus” Youssefi said in the official post that the game is “very close to launch ready,” but stressed that this is still a beta.
That means players should expect the usual rough edges. The team is using this period to watch traffic, catch bugs, and see how the live environment holds up with more people logging in. Players are being asked to send in bug reports and have some patience if queues, delays, or other issues pop up.
EverQuest Legends is being built by Game Jawn and Daybreak as a throwback to the original EverQuest, using familiar graphics, monsters, zones, and progression, but with changes aimed at making the game easier to fit into modern schedules. The pitch is still classic EQ, just with systems meant to better support solo players, smaller groups, and people who can’t always commit to fixed group times.
Preorders are open now for anyone who wants beta access. After launch, the team plans to share more on its roadmap, with currently mentioned additions including a player auction house, Nektropos Castle in the fall, and Kunark in the winter.
