EverQuest II opens beta for Revelations of Malice ahead of August 25 launch

EverQuest II’s next game update, GU 132: Revelations of Malice, is now in open beta. The test began at noon PT and runs through August 24, with the full update scheduled to go live on August 25.

Players who want to jump in will need to own the Rage of Cthurath expansion. According to the official beta announcement, the test build includes a new raid dungeon, Fabled Heroic and Solo dungeons, Heroic and Solo missions, and new collections.

A big part of the update is a return to older dungeon spaces in Fabled form, including the Ossuary, Castle Highhold, Ssraeshza Temple, and Zavith’loa. Darkpaw is positioning the beta as a chance to help shake out bugs and balance issues before the update lands for everyone next week.

If you’re not testing GU 132, the Oceansfull Festival is still running in EverQuest II for a few more days. That event ends on August 20.
